i grew up in québec and i moved to toronto in may 2003.  most of my work is inspired by my irish-aboriginal background.  after a difficult time in my life, i picked up a paintbrush for the first time, in the longest time when i moved here.  i've been painting since and i couldn't be happier.  now that my life is a bit less hectic, i've been trying to find out why painting is so important to me and why i seem to create my best work when things are at high or low peaks.  motivation definitely has a big part to play but also what comes to mind and when.  perhaps i'm still trying to find my true self in what i do.
